TrackingTime alternative
TrackingTime is free with unlimited users, and that's genuinely good. But what Hourexa does — the client report and the contracted hours budget — starts in TrackingTime's paid plans, per person, per month, with your data on their servers. Hourexa is the other answer: paid for once, installed on your server, and it brings your clients, projects, tasks and hours over from TrackingTime, so you don't start from scratch.
The real difference
Both log hours by project and client. Where they part ways is three things you won't see in a feature list.
Hourexa has a TrackingTime importer: with your email and an app password, you choose which projects to bring — and, if you like, between which dates — see a preview without saving anything, and on import your clients, your projects, your tasks with their order and status, and your time entries arrive. Import again later and it updates what changed; nothing is duplicated.
TrackingTime: free to track and see hours. Reports for your clients start at $3.75 per user per month (Starter); hours budgets and rates at $5.75 (Pro), billed annually. Every month, for every person, for as long as you use it. Hourexa: €149 once. With three people or thirty.
TrackingTime lives on their servers: there is no version you can install on yours. Hourexa installs on your server — shared hosting is fine — and the database is yours from day one. What you import from TrackingTime moves into your house.

If anything changes, we'll correct this page. And what Hourexa doesn't do, we say so: no rates, no invoicing, no apps, no integrations.
What it actually costs
If logging hours and looking at them is enough for you, TrackingTime is free and there's nothing to argue about. The honest comparison starts where the paying starts: the client report is in Starter, and the contracted hours budget in Pro. Here are the numbers with the Pro plan — the one that does what Hourexa does — at its cheapest rate (billed annually).
TrackingTime Pro: $207 a year. Then another $207 the second. And the third. Hourexa: €149, once.
TrackingTime Pro: $345 a year, every year, for as long as you use it. Hourexa: €149, once — and it doesn't go up if there are eight of you tomorrow.
TrackingTime Pro: $690 a year. With Hourexa, headcount doesn't change the price: €149, once, and that's it.
Figures use TrackingTime's Pro plan billed annually, its cheapest rate: $5.75 per user/month ($7 month to month). If you only need the client report, Starter costs $3.75 ($5 month to month): $225 a year for five people. Which of the three
If logging hours and looking at them is enough, with no client reports or hours budgets. It's free with unlimited people, has apps for everything and integrates with dozens of tools. If that's what you need, don't pay for more.
If you want the client report and the hours budget without paying every month for every person. If you want your team's hours and your clients' data on your own server. And if you already have years of work in TrackingTime and don't want to lose it: you bring it over with the importer.
If you invoice from the tool itself, need expenses, timesheet approvals, time-off management or its integrations. It's a good product and you pay for it every month; a perfectly reasonable choice.
